Key Responsibilities
- Configure, order, deploy, and maintain Mobile Data Computer (MDC) systems and accessories.
- Manage and support software applications including MACH, TraCS, Mobile AFIS, RMS, and ALPR.
- Install, integrate, and maintain technology systems within police and city vehicles.
- Maintain and manage citywide radio communication systems.
- Support the deployment and compliance of body-worn cameras and in-car video systems.
- Ensure compliance with data security standards and best practices for public safety technology.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for various IT systems and devices.
- Provide training and technical support to public safety personnel.
- Assist in the maintenance of citywide surveillance and recording systems.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in public safety IT.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or public safety technology.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Key Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency with Windows, iOS, Android, Office 365, and Adobe.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of network security, data protection, and IT infrastructure.
- Experience with public safety technology such as MDCs, radios, body-worn cameras, and AFIS.
- Understanding of CJIS compliance is a plus.
- Preferred experience in a municipal or public sector environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently or collaboratively.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Experience with MACH, TraCS, and Motorola P1 software is a plus.
