LEAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE:
Provides supervision of the operations of the Great Outdoor Waterpark and/or the Waneka Boathouse. Responsible for advancing department's high standards of customer service. Services as first contact for customers regarding inquiries both in person and on the phone, providing information and assistant to City staff and the public according to established procedures. Dependability is a key aspect of this position. Employee is expected to perform with minimum supervision after procedures, policies and techniques are learned. 

Must be at least 17 years of age to apply for this position.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE: 
Greets and assists patrons at the Great Outdoors Water Park and/or The Waneka Boathouse. Accepts payment for entrance fees, pass sales, and reservations, etc. 

Must be at least 16 years of age to apply for this position. 

The following duties are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive:

LEAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE:
  • Perform Cash Outs:
    • Balance revenues with receipts
    • Support and assist the cashier staff 
    • Complete daily paperwork and deposits 
    • Held accountable for financial transactions
  • Oversee registration procedures and collection of fees.
  • Work with public and resolve conflict
  • Provide reporting as needed, accident reports, incident reports, and facility inspection form.
  • Ensure that groups receive all services arranges for in their reservation.
  • Provide initial customer contact and respond to customer needs.
  • Assistant guests with check-in utilizing daily sales, pass member check-in, or program participation check-in. 
  • Process program activity registrations, pass registrations, pass renewals.
  • Promote interest and provide accurate information regarding facility policies, procedures, including all information in current brochure to the public. 
  • Assist key holder with opening and closing procedures.
  • Ability to make correct change for cash transactions. 
  • Ability to multi-task, answer phones, support other staff with front desk operations fulfilling immediate customer needs. 
  • Utilize software to provide activity rosters, class attendance worksheets and member visit reports as requested. 
  • Fill in data on standard office forms utilized in front desk procedures. 
  • May assist in food inventory control, in ordering food supplies for the kitchen operation, and in receiving and stocking food supplies.
CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE:
  • Responsible for collection of entry fees to the Great Outdoors Water Park and/or Waneka Lake Boathouse, including handling cash, making change, and balancing cash register. 
  • May act as receptionist directing individuals to proper locations, collecting fees, providing information, monitor slide area activity, and generally assist the public.
  • Prepare and deliver food to the concession window and concession patio.
  • Assist in beverage and food inventory control:
    • Order all beverages and supplies needed for the concession operation
    • Receive and stock beverages and supplies
  • Assist guests on the dock entering and exiting boats at the Waneka Lake Boat House.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, public areas, and concession stand. 
  • Read and follow directions.
  • Perform related work as required and assigned.

LEAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE:
KNOWLEDGE: Proper food handling and beverage service, running a cash register, making change and thorough knowledge of all areas within a concession stand. Basic knowledge of food preparation and arrangement of food and Public Health Regulations.
SKILL:  Demonstrated skill in the operation of equipment necessary to perform the functions of the job in preparing and serving food. 
ABILITY:  Enforce codes and regulations firmly, tactfully, and impartially: express ideas clearly and concisely and stablish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Plan and prepare quality foods for small to large groups of people in an efficient manner; and to adhere to and enforce Public Health Regulations.
TRAINING: No specific requirement.
EXPERIENCE: Some concession experience desired or any equivalent combination of training an experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 

CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE:
KNOWLEDGE:  Basic knowledge of arithmetic and spelling. Proper food handling and beverage service, running a cash register, making change and thorough knowledge of all areas within a concession stand.  Basic knowledge of food preparation and arrangement of food and Public Health Regulations.
SKILL:  Demonstrated skill in the operation of equipment necessary to perform the functions of the job in preparing and serving food and customer service.
ABILITY:  Work in a highly visible work environment; interact with customers of varying ages, learn office procedures, deal tactfully and pleasantly with the public, operate a cash register and office equipment, handle money, make simple mathematical calculations, prioritize multiple requests for service, provide quality customer service, and function independently with minimal supervision. Work weekends and holidays. Plan and prepare quality foods for small to large groups of people in an efficient manner and to adhere to and enforce Public Health Regulations.
TRAINING:  No specific requirement.
EXPERIENCE Previous experience in similar environment preferred; previous work managing computer cash register and money preferred, food handling or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
LEAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE:
  • Must be at least 17 years of age or older to apply for this position. 
  • Each person who works in the Concessions area will complete the following online program prior to working in the Concession area or within 1 week of working. CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE: 
  • May be restricted to age requirement as specified by FLSA:
    • Age 16 years limited to: 
    • School in Session (6/1 thru Labor Day) - 6 hours/day; 40 hours/week between 5:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
    • School not in Session - 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week; no later than 9:30 p.m.
  • Each person who works in the Concessions area will complete the following online program prior to working in the Concession area or within 1 week of working.
