POSITION:
Customer Service Specialist
LOCATION:
20 N 6th Street
Lafayette, IN 47901
HOURS:
8:00 am-4:30 pm, Monday – Friday
SALARY: $1,701.11 TO $1,954.91 bi-weekly
DUTIES:
Performs cashier duties, including maintaining and balancing a cash drawer. Provide customer
service both internally and externally. Assist in the resolution of customer concerns in person, by
telephone, and electronically. Establish accounts for customers in the billing system, paying
close attention to details.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED and previous work related experience required. Ability to maintain
confidential information. Must have strong customer service skills and be detail oriented.
Capable of working on multiple tasks at the same time amidst frequent distractions and
interruptions. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and
Excel. Must be able to prepare professional documents using word. Must be able to use
Outlook to professionaly correspond with City staff and the public, maintain current contact lists
and maintain appointments using calendar. All other duties as assigned.
