SALARY:
$2,431.60 – $2,799.74 bi-weekly
DESCRIPTION:
Incumbent works as Stormwater Foreman for Lafayette Renew, responsible for working in compliance with
Indiana Phase II Stormwater regulations, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Indiana Department of
Environmental Management (IDEM) stormwater programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Installs stormwater lines and access manhole structures.
- Performs construction work including building concrete forms, shoveling, leveling, and measuring.
- Operates pick-up truck with utility trailer, dump trucks, utility concrete truck, utility location devices, sewer
van, and lateral camera, and make repairs to cameras as needed.
- Assigns work to crews and assures work is done correctly.
- Attends meetings as required by Supervisor.
- Assists with various monthly and annual reports.
- Maintains communication with other departments and personnel using two-way radio and in person.
- Serves on 24-hour call for emergencies.
- Possess and maintain a valid CDL Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a tanker endorsement (N), along
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Working knowledge of environmental laws and regulations related to water quality and quantity.
- Working knowledge of Best Management Practices (BMP’s) and low impact development (LID) principles.
- Operates surveying level and perform elevation calculations.
- Ability to determine and correct problems on stormwater complaint calls. Ability to communicate with the
