The Role
As an Accounting Technician, you'll be an integral part of the Administrative Services Department. You'll take on responsibilities like :
- Reviewing and processing invoices for city expenditures.
- Preparing and organizing checks for review and approval.
- Reconciling daily deposits for accuracy and addressing miscoded entries.
- Monitoring petty cash accounts.
- Managing accounts receivable in collaboration with city departments.
- Preparing 1099s for vendors.
- Preparing annual reports for external agencies.
- Assisting with payroll as part of cross-training with the Accountant position.
