SUMMARY
Under general supervision, this position performs duties of a general accounting nature.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform all duties of Account Representative I.
Enter data into computer such as billing, notices, records, tax receipts, invoices, check stubs, inventory records, employee hours, wages, et cetera.
Prepare reports such as water cut in and cut outs, water resets, and other simple financial reports.
Receive documents, post and account for accuracy of items such as customer payments, invoices, bills, or other items, including posting in general and/or subsidiary ledgers.
Prepare and balance bank deposits. Maintain time and leave records.
Provide information by phone, in person, or through written means to customers with courtesy and promptness.
Perform any other assigned duties. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school, minimum of High School diploma, or GED; Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid Louisiana Driver's License. May require ability to be bonded.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
