Job Summary
The City of Lake Worth Beach is looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee onboarding, data management, and policy support. The HR Intern will work closely with the HR team to contribute to meaningful projects and support daily HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Selection Support :
Assist in posting job openings and screening resumes.
Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork and organizing orientation materials.
Maintain and update employee records.
Help respond to employee inquiries and direct them to the appropriate resources.
Assist in maintaining compliance with city policies and HR procedures.
Provide administrative support to the HR team, including organizing files, scheduling meetings, and preparing documents.
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working Hours & Environment
This is a part-time internship position, typically 20-29 hours per week, with some flexibility to accommodate class schedules or other commitments. This role will be primarily based in the City of Lake Worth Beach HR office.
