- Lead diversified recreational programs including sports, games, nature and music activities, crafts and special events for children from 3 - 12 years of age.
- Create and implement program plans. Prepare supplies on a weekly basis, make recommendations for improvement.
- Relate to parents and general public in a helpful and professional manner.
- Responsible for proper care and safe use of all equipment and facilities.
- Participate in staff training, weekly planning and staff meetings.
- Set up and clean up activity area including building and grounds.
- Complete attendance records, accident reports, evaluations and other work as requested by the supervisor.
- Work under the direction and in cooperation with supervisors and co-workers.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Genuine desire to work with children ages 3 -12 in an outdoor setting.
- Ability to establish a good working environment with program participants, parents, supervisors and co-workers.
- Ability to create a positive, fun and educational program environment for all children. This may include children with various disabilities.
- Ability to plan and lead creative activities.
- One (1) year or more experience with children ages 3-12 desired.
