As an Art Instructor at Lakeville Area Arts Center, you will be instrumental in fostering creativity and artistic growth in students of all ages. With the recent expansion of our fine arts programs and the acquisition of the new Fine Arts Building, the Arts Center is poised for continued growth. We offer a diverse range of art mediums, including textiles, glass fusing, painting, drawing, multimedia, printmaking, jewelry making, and precious metal clay, creating a rich and dynamic educational environment! Your role will directly contribute to the Arts Center’s mission of providing high-quality art education while supporting the development of our vibrant artistic community.In this position, you will guide students through the creative process, designing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate programs that explore a variety of techniques, materials, and artistic styles. By drawing from art history and cultural perspectives, you will enrich the learning experience and inspire students to think creatively while developing their technical skills.Through clear, hands-on demonstrations and adaptable teaching methods, you’ll help students gain confidence and mastery in their craft. Collaboration with fellow instructors and staff will be essential to creating a dynamic and supportive learning environment. In addition to teaching, you will contribute to promoting classes and represent the Arts Center at community events, exhibitions, and outreach activities, further strengthening our connection to the community.
