HIRING RANGE: $22.06 - $24.51/hour
The School Age Services Site Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation and evaluation of a Before & After School Program and a Summer Day Camp Program. Programs and activities include, but are not limited to, supervision of children to and from school, recreational, social and educational activities. Position ensures the safety of all children in the program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent is accountable for all duties of this job and other projects and responsibilities may be added at the City’s discretion. Employees must be able to perform the essential duties of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Responsible for effectively supervising program activities including preparing monthly and quarterly reports, monitoring the budget to ensure the program is meeting its goals, evaluating programs and services, and ensuring that all applicable licensing standards are upheld.
- Responsible for program development, implementation of age-appropriate activities and evaluation of Before/After School and Summer Day Camp programs for participants ages 5-12.
- Ensures a safe environment for all participants.
- Participates, conducts and coordinates appropriate special events and field trips.
- Ensures that necessary supplies are available for programs.
- Establishes effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, parents, participants and host site.
- Criminal background check, fingerprint check and an FBI background check are required.
- Requires regular and prompt attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Education: Must be Director qualified, as defined by Minimum Rules and Regulations for school-aged child-care centers which includes having verifiable education and training in work with school-age children in such areas as recreation, education, scouting, or 4-H.
Per Code of Colorado Regulations, candidates must meet a least one of the following qualifications:
- A 4-year college degree from an accredited college, with a major such as recreation, education with a specialty in art, elementary or early childhood education, or a subject in the human service field; OR,
- Two years of college training and 3 months of satisfactory and verifiable full-time or equivalent part-time, paid or volunteer, experience, since attaining the age of 18, in the care and supervision of four or more children OR,
- Twenty-one (21) months (3.185 hours) of experience, paid or volunteer experience, since attaining the age of 18, in the care and supervision of four or more children.
The program director must complete six semester hours, nine quarter hours, or 40 clock hours of training in course work applicable to school-age children within the first nine months of employment.
Experience:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have experience with youth programs.
Certification/Licenses/Specialized Training
- Must hold a current certification in Community CPR and First Aid (or achieve within 1 month of hire date
