HIRING RANGE: $18.00 - $21.00/hour
Provides assistance to the Heritage, Culture & the Arts Division by supporting the set-up, execution and strike (tear-down) of festivals, amphitheater programs, and community events. Provides excellent customer service to rental clients during private rental events and oversight for evening and weekend rentals.
The City of Lakewood is currently recruiting variable employees for this position. A variable employee is an at-will employee who works in a seasonal or temporary capacity. Their work schedule is based on business need. This position would be a part-time non benefitted position.
Community Events
Set-up and strike/tear-down equipment including but not limited to tables, chairs, tents, temporary event fencing, trash cans, signage, and other supplies for the implementation of community events.
Serves as an on-site support staff person in the coordination of community events. Anticipates event operational needs and responds to requests and inquiries of event exhibitors, vendors, contractors and suppliers as directed or appropriate.
Rental Events
Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
Make situational decisions based on sound judgment during scheduled shifts.
Confirm that requested supplies and equipment are available for rentals as assigned.
Set up signs, tables and chairs for rentals and other meetings or events on an as needed basis. Serves as the main point of contact for evening and weekend rentals as assigned.
