The City of Lancaster is looking for a Seasonal Park Maintenance employee for the Parks Department.
Shares responsibility in caring for and maintaining grass, trees, shrubs, grounds, buildings, facilities, equipment and all other items in a city park and recreation department. This position may require weekend and evening hours.
JOB DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Performs cleaning tasks on grounds and buildings, picking up and disposing of all items not suitable for park operations.
Cuts grass, weeds, trees, shrubs utilizing a variety of hand and power tools
Assists with carpentry, repair work, painting, concrete work utilizing a variety of hand and power tools
Drags baseball and softball diamonds using tractor and/or ball diamond rig, rakes and stripes diamonds in preparation of games
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Must be physically able to work in all types of weather, climate and at night.
Knowledge of lawn mowers, simple hand tools, and related equipment.
Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and be insurable.
Must pass physical examination, drug testing, driving record check and criminal background investigation.
