Position: Senior Recreation Program Leader - Lancaster National Soccer Center
Department: Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Community Services
Hourly Range: $22.04 – $25.51
Classification: Temporary
Non-Exempt – Overtime Eligible
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, oversees of practices and games at the Lancaster National Soccer Center, as well as working tournaments, sports events, and special events. This position reports to the athletic coordinator.

Example of Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Circulating and aware of any repetitive drills, incidents, accidents, and injuries that may occur on the fields during a shift
- Opening and closing the buildings and facilities
- Arrange chairs, tables, and sporting or exercise equipment in designated rooms or other areas for group activities, such as group meetings or sport events
- Be visible and available to the coaches, players, spectators, and officials
- Work with various organizations to ensure leagues, rentals, and tournaments are successful
- Keep up to date on the latest Soccer Center activities and City information
- Assist in planning, organizing, and running elements of the City’s Special Events
- Staff and Set up for athletic games
- Direct leagues and tournaments
- Arrange chairs, tables, and sporting or exercise equipment in designated rooms or other areas for group activities, such as banquets, wedding receptions, group meetings, or sport events
- Aid in training of Recreation Program Leaders
- Be friendly, courteous, and helpful to all patrons
- Perform related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to organize, plan, direct, and lead a group of children or adults
- Write reports and evaluations
- Understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Deal tactfully and effectively with staff, participants, and the public
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance.
- Currently enrolled in a college or university majoring in Recreation or a related field is desirable
