Special Requirements & Training:
This position requires that the applicant placed to be able to be bonded under the terms of the City’s blanket bond. Therefore, applicants cannot have committed any dishonest acts, before or after the placement in this position. Applicants must authorize the release of any information from appropriate agencies regarding the applicant criminal history.
Qualifications for this position consist of:
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Two (2) years of comprehensive office experience to include but not limited to: the use of a personal computer with word processing, spreadsheet, and data base software, creation of complex letters, documents and memorandum, accounts payable and/or receivable, payroll, budget expenditure tracking and records management.
- Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs wide range of administrative duties for the Treasurer/Income Tax Administrator.
- Responds to customer inquiries regarding property tax or income tax concerns by phone or in person listening and customer service skills. Monitor and respond to Treasury/Income Tax email correspondence.
- Perform administrative functions including but not limited to financial account maintenance, purchasing and account payable duties.
- Gathers personal property tax account data, assists investigators, file Jeopardy assessments and discharges, small claims and other court documents; maintain contact with taxpayers or their representatives both verbally and in writing.
