Salary: $34,805 - $45,924
Ideal candidates will be motivated individuals that can work well in a team environment as well as independently in a diverse department.
Under general supervision, to lead, oversee and perform a full range of custodial duties related to the care, and cleaning of assigned buildings and facilities.
Will exercise supervision and training of provisional staff.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and sanitize rest room facilities and fixtures including sinks, urinals, and toilets; replenish supplies in rest rooms.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
- Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
- Wash windows, mirrors, and walls.
- Clean hard surfaces including counter tops.
- Empty, clean and sanitize waste receptacles.
- Move and arrange furniture and equipment; set up rooms for conferences and meetings.
- Replace lights and adjust shades and blinds.
- Maintain grounds around building; sweep walkways; remove snow and ice from walkways and stairs.
- Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities; perform minor repair work.
- Ensure that buildings are secured at close of shift.
QUALIFICATIONS (A combination of the following experience and training would be qualifying):
- One year of custodial or environmental services experience.
- Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, climb, lift 50 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds, exposure to noise, outdoors, confined workspace, chemicals, dust, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazards.
