ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Directs vehicles to toll booth lanes.
- Directs traffic flow at international bridges.
- Monitors accidents and irregularities in and around an assigned work area; reports accidents and acts of vandalism.
- Monitors export yards and assists customs in turning around traffic.
- Paints and repairs barricades; cleans traffic cones.
- Replaces traffic lights and toll gate barriers.
- Assists collector to back up cars or trucks from lanes.
- Assists in clearing accidents from toll lanes and bridge.
- Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- At least one (1) year general work experience and ability to complete an on-the-job training in traffic control within 3 months of employment.
- Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out-of-state license, a State of Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
As part of the minimum requirements for all positions with the City of Laredo, a thorough background check and certified school transcripts will be required from all applicants who are offered employment.
