ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.Performs routine manual labor involved in the maintenance of the City creeks, street paving and street maintenance activities, and electrical and plumbing work.Assists with traffic control and direction.Cleans roads by picking up debris and tree limbs, etc.; maintains storm sewers and sidewalks; assists in repairing and cleaning storm drains.Performs ground maintenance by using weed eater, yard tools, and gas mower; cleans and maintains creeks and roads passageways; maintains storms sewers and sidewalks.Assists in the maintenance and repair of HVAC units.Cleans and maintains proper functionality of tools and equipment.Performs related work as required.COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE OF JOB DUTIESKnowledge of: Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.Knowledge of machinery and equipment operation and maintenance.Knowledge of safety practices and requirements.Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing.Skills and Abilities: Skill in organization and time management. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Required Licenses or CertificationsValid Texas Driver License.
