The Strategic Communication Specialist is responsible for disseminating information of interest to the media and the general public in relation to department investigations, crime trends, and assistance in the apprehension of wanted subjects. - The primary objective of the Strategic Communication Specialist is to serve as the liaison for release of factual information and the production of educational crime preventive strategies for release to the media and public at large to include managing social media platform.
- Attends events and press conferences to support the Chief of Police in representing the department organizing the events.
- Provides administrative support by assisting with financial requisitions and compiling administrative data and statistics, preparing speeches and reports
- Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
