The City of Las Vegas Department of Neighborhood Services invites applications for professional – (Maintenance Support). Part-time Professionals perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance, construction, and repair work in the area of work assigned which may include: cleaning and maintaining city property, city-owned open spaces, single-family properties, and equipment; assisting other staff in construction and maintenance work; loading and unloading tools, materials and supplies, Identifying major repairs needed and reporting to higher level staff, maintaining inventory of equipment, materials and supplies.
This is an hourly entry-level, part-time position. Scheduled hours for this position are limited to 19 hours or less per week (Shift will be Mon - Thurs either morning or afternoon). Hourly employees are also limited to 1,560 hours of work in any 18-month period.
Supervision ReceivedReceives general supervision from higher level supervisory or management staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs a variety of administrative and technical tasks associated with the Department of Neighborhood Services.
- Performs a variety of office related functions, including correspondence, brochures, printing materials, answering phones and responding to inquiries from staff and the public.
- Performs a variety of administrative duties, such as planning, scheduling and coordinating various events
- Assists department with special projects and activities, presentations, and customer requests for information
- Communicates and acts in a professional manner with the public, co-workers, and work contacts
- Performs related duties as required
- Performs special assignments as requested
- Minimum 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:
