What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAMP COUNSELOR UNIFIED position at City of Lawrence?
We're looking for enthusiastic applicants who are at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Counselors make sure that campers have a great time by leading fun activities, and keeping things organized, under the guidance of a head counselor. If you have experience working with youth aged 5 to 21 who may have intellectual or physical disabilities, especially in an outdoor environment, that’s a plus. Teamwork is key, so working well with your fellow staff members to schedule and evaluate activities is important. This is a hands-on job providing supervision, engaging with the participants, and assisting with their personal care.
First Aid and CPR certification is required, and training is available. Must be available on weekdays. Feel free to submit your resume—while it’s optional, we definitely encourage it!
