Job Description
The Accounting Technician Part-Time assists in maintenance of accounting records, collection and posting of all City revenues.
Hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:30 am to 11:30 pm.
Example of Duties
- Daily Revenue account reconciliation.
- Preparation of the daily bank deposit.
- Provide assistance in the billing of accounts receivable records and maintenance of customer accounts.
- Assist with review, monitoring and tracking of receipt of major revenues to ensure accuracy of payment amount, proper documentation of payment amount and compliance with contract if applicable.
- Monthly collection calls for outstanding receivables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- One to three years (1-3) experience in cash handling, customer service or related field required.
- Any combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with the level of required knowledge and abilities will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Experience in Accounting or related field.
- Experience in Microsoft Excel
