Job Description
The Wastewater Maintenance Technician I / II will handle skilled maintenance and repair of wastewater equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, electrical control panels, and chemical feed equipment. The role involves collaboration with others in tasks like installation, modification, preventive maintenance, and repair of wastewater facilities. This is a safety-sensitive and / or DOT position. Therefore, participation in random drug testing at the city will be mandatory.

Wastewater Maintenance Technician I
- Repair electrical systems, pumps, motors, valves, and piping.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, and electrical components.
- Install PVC service lines, replace motor lubrication lines, and work on chlorine system lines.
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical controls; replace fuses, switches, and receptacles.
- Assist in installing, testing, and calibrating meters.
- Schedule projects, log work orders, and procure parts and equipment.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
- Subject to on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend availability, including overtime as needed.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Wastewater Maintenance Technician II
Must be able to provide services for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of League City's citizens, and that, City employees must be able to work immediately before, during, or immediately after an emergency.
