THE CITY OF LEAWOOD, KANSAS is looking for an
Entry Level Planner
As a Planner with the City of Leawood, you are an integral part of improving and making a difference in the lives of those here and in surrounding communities. You will join a team of planning professionals with over 30 years of combined experience in Planning.
You will be involved in several highly anticipated projects, which may include the mixed-use developments of East Village, Leawood Village, One35, and many more. Come in at the start of the review of the City's Comprehensive Plan and Leawood Development Ordinance and help make improvements and changes that will affect the development of Leawood for years to come.

Your work responsibilities may include :
Minimum Requirements : Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture or related field. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in planning or community development. A Master's Degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related field would substitute for one (1) year of experience.
Preferred Requirements : Experience working with ArcGIS, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, SketchUp, and Bluebeam preferred. Experience in a municipality is preferred, but not required.

Target Hiring Range : $63,318 - $70,000 Annually, DOQ

The City of Leawood offers career development opportunities that could increase the employee's experience, training, and pay. The position is eligible to receive merit-based pay increases every year. Employees also receive a Time-in-Service Bonus equal to 5% of their annual salary every three years of employment on their anniversary date.
Salary : $63,318 - $70,000
