Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for providing IT services and support in various functional areas including computer operations, PC tech support, IT services, and mobile device management. This person will provide daily employee technical support for computers, printers, iPad devices, and other related equipment as well as business applications.
Duties
- Install, configure and maintain computer hardware and software.
- Maintain computer hardware and software inventory.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with computer hardware and software, or escalate appropriately.
- Test compatibility of software upgrades within the ERP ecosystem and existing business applications.
- Respond to and resolve user inquiries and technical support requests providing remote and on-site support as needed.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and user interactions in a clear and organized manner.
- Provide end-user training on applications and programs and create user documentation as needed.
- Install, configure and maintain Apple iPad devices.
- Deploy apps, management policies, and other settings via a mobile device management system.
- Resolve common issues such as password resets, access permissions, and email delivery.
- Ensure smooth IT operations and user satisfaction, using IT best practices.
- Follow all company policies and procedures at all times, paying particular respect to internet safety.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company IT infrastructure, software and hardware.
- Pursue continuous improvement by participating in educational opportunities, maintaining professional networks, and other job-related learning.
- Appropriately identify and escalate complex issues to the IT Manager.
- Provide information to the IT Manager on all matters of relevance.
- Follow directions with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a small-team setting.
- Prioritize and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Handle and maintain confidential employer information.
- Plan and implement scheduled preventative maintenance on machines.
- Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid PA Driver's License.
- Previous personal computer experience.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals such as desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners.
- Familiarity with the Windows Office suite.
- Knowledge of antivirus software.
- Ability to train end users on software applications and ability to write end user training materials.
- Familiarity with website tools such as WordPress or ability to learn minor editing skills from a template.
- Experience in a technical support role such as a desktop support.
- Ability to perform duties independently of supervision.
- Ability to keep accurate, up-to-date records in an orderly manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work with coworkers as a team.
