GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK
The employee will be tasked with the care of children in the designated childcare area. Must be passionate about working with children and their families. Ideal candidate will be outgoing, responsible and able to work well in groups while also respecting the individual needs of children.
ESSENTIALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A high school diploma or equivalency is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Prior childcare, day care, sitter experience is a plus.
DRIVER LICENSE
Valid Tennessee Driver’s license with a clear driving record is required.
PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical exam. Must successfully pass background investigation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT, AND REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required having full use of auditory and visual capacities, of which include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance for extended periods of time, and have full use of hands to fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Be able to continually lift 50lbs. or more. Work is performed indoors.

- Reports to the Office Manager or Supervisor on duty.
- Responsibilities include any caring for children in the childcare area.
- Monitoring the childcare area for safety and reporting any unsafe conditions.
- Monitoring children at play and ensuring all activities are safe.
- Enforcing rules of the childcare area.
- Maintaining records pertaining to check-in for the childcare area.
- May be asked to work the front desk area performing patron check in and Point of Sale operation.
- Responds to citizen complaints or inquiries regarding facility operations and programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
