Role Description

Assists the Engineering Services Director or other engineers as assigned with the civil and environmental engineering activities for the City of Lebanon by helping with review and approval of plans and designs for proposed development projects such as roads, subdivisions, site plans, airports, recreation, bridges, drainage systems, stormwater, traffic, etc. This is a professional position requiring an individual who can exercise independent judgment and who possesses the educational and relevant experience as it relates to civil engineering principles.  

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of responsible experience in general civil and/or municipal engineering related to site and/or subdivision development is required.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) from State of Tennessee is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, from an accredited college or university is required.
• Advanced software technology skills, required.
• Tennessee Driver's License and clear driving record is required.

Employment is probationary for first six months of employment with the City.
