The City of Lee's Summit is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Apprentice Operator in the Public Works Operations Department. The City offers training programs and growth opportunities for our employees.
Description of duties
Apprentice Operator is an entry level position designed to teach the basics of construction and maintenance of city infrastructure. Once employees complete initial training, they are eligible for promotion to Operator. The Public Works Department is responsible for:
- Street maintenance
- Stormwater maintenance
- Mowing, tree trimming, debris removal
- Work zone setup
- Bridge maintenance
- Rights of way maintenance
- Snow removal
- High School Diploma
- Valid Drivers License
- Experience is welcome, but not necessary
