The Development Services Department is a multi-disciplinary team focused on enhancing our community’s quality of life through the facilitation of private development, business, and community services. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a closely related field with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in customer service, accounting, or related field.
Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.
A valid state Motor Vehicle Operator’s license is also required.

- Opportunity for working remotely two (2) days per week following the probationary period.

- Manages the customer service team and recommends actions related to hiring, discipline, and advancement of the team.
- Provides leadership, motivation, and training to the team to ensure customer service goals are achieved.
- Establishes performance targets, monitors performance, and identifies and implements process improvements.
- Plans, organizes, and directs all activities related to the Business License Program, Payment Processing, Purchase Allocations, Inspection Scheduling and Coordination, Neighborhood Services Support, and other services.
- Handles issues with customers that may escalate beyond customer service staff, including complex issues with business license renewals and construction inspection scheduling.
- Ensures legal notices and meeting agendas are completed in accordance with State Statute requirements.
- Provides administrative support for Planning Commission, Board of Appeals, and Board of Zoning Appeals meetings as needed through agenda preparation, meeting coordination, as well as support during the meeting and preparation of meeting minutes.
- Assists with preparation of a variety of department reporting including those related to budget, strategic plans, and activity reports.
