What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Engineering Inspector position at City of Lee's Summit?
The Field Engineering Inspector, under supervision of the Engineering Inspections Manager, performs technical construction inspection of work related to public and private infrastructure, in particular related to private development and right-of way activities for compliance with Federal, State, and City codes and standards.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required and 4 years’ related experience required or
- Associate’s Degree in construction, architecture, engineering, or related field and two years of related experience required or
- Bachelor’s Degree in construction, architecture, engineering, or related field and
- Valid State motor vehicle operator’s license and acceptable driving record required and
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1 within 24 months of employment and
- Missouri Department of Natural Resources Class D Water or Wastewater Treatment or Water Distribution (I, II, or III) certification within 24 months of employment required.
