The purpose of the class is to perform routine manual work. This class is responsible for service work such as digging trenches, cleaning ditches; assists with installation of fixtures such as pipes, valves, fittings, and manholes; landscape, road, sidewalk, driveway restoration and other outdoor work. Completes logs or routine records. The class works according to set procedures under direct supervision. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires two years or more of routine manual work experience. General knowledge of computer usage preferred. Requires a valid State of Florida driver license and satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial and continued employment. Must obtain a Class B CDL permit w/air brake endorsement within 3 months of employment and a Class B CDL within 6 months of employment.
