The City of Lenexa Parks and Recreation department is currently accepting applications for a Certified GroupX Fitness Instructor to join our team at the Lenexa Old Town Activity Center!
Hours :
- Tuesday : 9 : 30am -10 : 30am - Senior Pep
- Friday : 9 : 00am - 10 : 00am - Chair Yoga
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for planning and leading safe and effective group exercise classes to participants with a wide variety of fitness backgrounds and physical abilities, as well as additional related opportunities as deemed appropriate by the Rec Center.

Qualifications
Minimum : High school diploma or equivalent. Nationally recognized group fitness certification, Silver Sneaker Certification, Yoga / Chair Yoga Certification.
Desired : CPR / First Aid / AED certified, knowledge of general Parks and Recreation practices, at least one year of group fitness instruction and customer service experience.
Compensation
The rate of pay is $24.50 per hour. City residency is not required.
Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.
