The City of Lewisville's Parks & Recreation Department is currently seeking Day Camp Attendants to be a part of a great team that serves over 100,000 community members. This is a seasonal position from May - September 2025.

For employees returning for a second year, the hourly rate increases to $13.64, with further incremental increases for additional years up to six. This position is responsible for providing a positive day camp experience for participants by supervising day-to-day activities for the City’s Camp PLAY/Teen Camp programs. The Day Camp Attendant assists the Day Camp Leader in the operation of Camp PLAY/Teen Camp, which includes providing daily activities for children, ages 6-15 and runs the entire summer, or for summer camps at LLELA Nature Preserve for select weeks. This position will require extensive contact with children and adult citizens.
- Implements, monitors, and coordinates daily activities for the day camp program.
- Assists with daily preparation of activities including arts and crafts, sports, games, field trips, hikes and other activities.
- Provides snack time and lunch set-up and clean-up.
- Interacts with camp participants in a variety of recreational activities.
- Ensures that daily camp activities are conducted in a safe, professional manner following all safety measures and protocols.
- Communicates camp equipment and supply needs to the Day Camp Leader.
- Maintains facility appearance during and after camp activities.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.

- Prior experience working with children and/or instructing day camp activities for children ages six to fifteen preferred.
Any combination of related, education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job is an acceptable substitute for the above specified education and experience requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Skill in use of personal computer including Microsoft Office, e-mail and the internet.
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must submit to and pass a criminal background and pre-employment drug test.
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification upon hire.
30 hours/week; M-F 7:15 AM - 6:15 PM.
