Firefighter Iperforms protective service work in firesuppression, rescue operations, hazardous materials operations, and emergency medical services. Responds to calls for service, delivers public education, attends required/mandatory training, and maintains a positive image to the public while maintaining response readiness.
Physical agility test required.

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or GED;
- Some experience in fire suppression preferred;
- Valid NC driver’s license and good driving record;
- Some mechanical aptitude;
- Physical endurance and agility; and
- NC/IFSAC Firefighter certification or ability to obtain the certification within two years of employment.
Work Schedule
Modified 24/48. Paid bi-weekly.
