We are a dynamic organization, offering excellent benefits and opportunities to the right people. The Apprentice performs (as a member of a crew) responsible semi-skilled and skilled work in the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of the City’s Natural Gas facilities. Also, while we will train entry level candidates, experience in the natural gas industry is a definite plus.Attributes of our ideal candidates: flexible and adaptable in order to perform the necessary tasks of a growing utility; team oriented with a willingness to learn from and teach others; aptitude and desire to learn new equipment and technology; attention to detail; ability to take initiative and make reasonable judgement decisions; ability to deal with others in a collaborative and honest manner; an effective listener with the ability to communicate across diverse characteristics of the workforce; and the ability to work safely in all environments and on flexible schedules.
