What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Concessions Operator position at City of Liberty?
The City of Liberty is adding Seasonal Concessions Operators to our team in preparation for our next sports season. As a Concessions Operator, you will perform daily duties in operating the concession stands for a variety of athletic events at Capital Federal Sports Complex in Liberty, MO. - Shifts may include weeknights (between 5-10pm) or weekends (anywhere from 7am - 10:30pm)
- Hours per week will vary, based on your availability
- Season typically runs from February - November
- Employees are encouraged to return for subsequent seasons
- Cash handling & Cash register operations
- Food Preparation & Daily cleaning
- Operate general concession equipment
- Proactively engage and interact with citizens to ensure their customer experience leaves a positive impact.
- Serving customers & other duties as needed to ensure quality municipal services for our citizens.
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to respond to requests and inquiries from customers/citizens in a professional, positive, friendly and helpful manner.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of essential duties including operating and maintaining assigned equipment, as well as climbing, kneeling, stooping and standing/walking for prolonged periods of time.
- Maintain mental capacity which permits satisfactory performance of essential functions including decision-making, communication, teamwork and positive customer/citizen interactions and experiences.
- Work well under pressure, quickly changing priorities.
- Utilize creative problem solving techniques.
- Calculate simple math.
- Count inventory.
- Lift 20lbs.
- Ability to work indoors for long periods of time.
- Must possess (or be able to obtain) a food handler certification.
