Work involves responsibility for professional civil engineering work in the development, construction, and maintenance of engineering projects.
Nature of Work / Examples of Work Performed
Perform general design of construction projects.
Assist the roadway and special projects engineers. Perform roadway and culvert design and work with drainage erosion projects.
Assist staff with subdivision review, inspections, applications, and special permits reviews.
Assist in modernizing the design section and assist with other updates as required.
Obtain permits for construction / programs.
Communicate and coordinate with outside agencies and consultants.
Minimum Qualifications / Necessary Special Requirements
Civil Engineer III - Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, experience in progressively responsible civil engineering work, and registration as a Professional Engineer.
Civil Engineer II - Possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training Certificate and some experience as a Civil Engineer.
Civil Engineer I - Possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training Certificate or the ability to obtain within one year of hire.
