What are the responsibilities and job description for the On Call - Drug Testing Technician (Observation of MALE Clients) position at City of Lincoln/Lancaster County?

The Community Corrections Department is looking for on-call drug screening technicians. The Department operates its Drug Testing Center 7 days per week, with varying shifts. The on-call staff will assist in coverage as determined by the agency's needs. On-call staff may be called upon for immediate needs and/or scheduled in advance.This is human service work in a community corrections program performing drug screening work with the responsibility of utilizing various testing methods and reporting the results to the designated parties.
Provides frequent and random on-site and community drug testing, directly observes same-gender client drug testing, sends urine specimens to prescribed laboratory as directed, documents and records data, and follows drug testing procedures and policies at all times.
Individuals of diverse backgrounds and language skills are encouraged to apply.Qualifications: Graduation from a senior high school or equivalent and some experience with the criminal justice system either in an employed status or as an intern or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
