Lancaster County is seeking a Commercial Appraiser to join our team in the Assessor/Register of Deed's Office. This is an advanced, technical position that requires extensive knowledge of property appraisal and assessment. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating the appraisal process for commercial properties, developing mass appraisal models, conducting complex valuation research, and interacting with property owners and governing bodies.
As a Commercial Appraiser, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the appraisal and assessment of commercial real property, preparing detailed valuation reports, and serving as an expert witness in property valuation appeals. You will collaborate with a team of commercial appraisers who are responsible for the valuation of over 10,000 commercial properties in Lancaster County.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in real estate, math, business administration, public administration or related field plus four years of experience appraising real property or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid driver's license when operating a vehicle is necessary for the satisfactory performance of assigned duties.
Employees must work a least 30 hours per week to be eligible for insurance benefits.
Vacation leave, sick leave, and holidays are prorated for part time employees based upon the hours worked per week.
Temporary, seasonal, and on-call employees are not eligible for benefits.
