We are looking for our next Transportation and Utilities Safety Coordinator. This is administrative and technical work directing the training program and developing and maintaining a comprehensive safety/loss control program for the Division/Department.Nature of Work/Examples of Work Performed
In this role you will:
- Develop and maintain a Comprehensive Safety Management System for the Transportation and Utilities Department.
- Perform, conduct or coordinate training sessions for the Transportation and Utilities Department to meet required local, state, and federal requirements.
- Conduct and perform safety Inspections of Transportation and Utilities divisional operating facilities and work sites.
- Be responsible for safety communication and coordination with divisional employees, supervisors and management, City safety training coordinator and regulating agencies.
- Assist divisions in emergency preparedness activities.
Minimum Qualifications/Necessary Special Requirements
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in safety and health, industrial engineering, industrial hygiene, business administration or related field plus two years of experience relating to safety, loss control or risk management; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
