Job Objective: To patrol an assigned district in the City of Little Rock in order to enforce laws and ordinances.

Little Rock Police Department offers: - Hiring Incentiveof $10,000 - $5000 is payable upon completion of first six months and $5000 is payable upon completion of twelve months, of 24 month probationary period.
- Holiday Premiums available up to 4% of annual salary.
- Starting salary of up to $67,329 dependent on experience.
- Salary Step Increases up to $80,038.40 at 15 years of service.

- The candidate must possess a current active law enforcement Basic certification
- The candidate must possess a valid Arkansas Class "D" (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
- The candidate must meet any other requirements established by the Little Rock Civil Service Commission and the State Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training.
- The candidate must have at least 3 year's of patrol experience.

Human Resources will submit all candidates to LRPD personnel for a preliminary background check. If any of the following are found during the preliminary background, the candidate will be automatically disqualified:
- Invalid driver's license
- Prior felony conviction - NOTE: Expunged and/or pardoned felonies still disqualify candidates from employment as a Police Officer.
- Prior domestic abuse conviction
- Excessive traffic points accrued within the past three years.
