JOB OBJECTIVE: To provide assistance to patrons at entertainment events held at Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau facilities by performing various duties, to include scanning admission tickets/passes from patrons, assists in finding seating, locating facilities, answers questions, provides information, directs patron to correct locations, and related duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Scans admission tickets from patrons at entertainment events held at Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau facilities; examines ticket to verify authenticity by verifying show name, date, and other distinct marks; notifies appropriate personnel of tickets/passes suspected of being fraudulent.
- Answers questions, provides information, and directs patrons to correct performance venue entrances, exits, and assists patrons with location of correct seats.
- Monitors to ensure patrons are in compliance with facility rules and regulations; enforces facility rules and regulations; notifies security or appropriate personnel as required.
- Remains at assigned post throughout the event unless otherwise assigned.
- Attends pre-event ticket taker/usher meetings and other related training sessions as required by management.
- Demonstrates an in depth knowledge of all areas within the Robinson Center, Statehouse Convention Center and First Security Amphitheater and possess a good understanding of evacuation procedures from all points within the facility.
- Maintains a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau uniform requirements.
- Provides assistance and customer service to diverse individuals from various social and economic backgrounds, various age groups, ethnicities, and knowledge-levels in compliance with LRCVB policies, procedures, and customer service standards in the performance of essential functions.
These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of High School or related; one (1) year of customer service experience or related area; familiarity in the operation of a hand-held two-way radio preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
