The Library is seeking professional Librarians who have training and / or experience in either children's or adult services. The Substitute Librarian may be required to supervise a small staff of clerical and paraprofessional employees. Assignments may include general reference work, readers' advisory service, use of audio-visual materials, and general duties in a branch library. Following are specific examples of the type of work which may be performed :
- General reference desk duties.
- Assist patrons in the use of the library.
- Assist patrons using electronic library services, such as CD-ROM, library catalog, or Internet searches.
Minimum Requirements :
