POSITION TITLE: MANAGEMENT ALANYST I (Economic Development Specialist)
REPORTS TO: Director of Economic Development and Public Affairs
DEPARTMENT: City Manager’s Office
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $58,025-$72,479

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Management Analyst I will assist with the City’s comprehensive economic development strategies and support additional City Manager’s Office initiatives.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following essential job functions and examples of duties are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive. Duties may be modified, added, or deleted at the discretion of the Director of Economic Development and Public Affairs
- Serves as the City’s Economic Development Specialist and supports the City’s economic development programs.

- Supports the City’s Destination and Transit Oriented Economy.
- Assists with business attraction and real estate development opportunities throughout the City including RidgeGate, Lincoln Station/Park Ridge Corporate Center, and Park Meadows Retail Resort.
- Assists with the renovation, redevelopment, and public improvement development opportunities within the Lone Tree Entertainment District.

- Provides staff and administrative support to the Lone Tree Business Improvement Districtand the Park Meadows Business Improvement District (meeting notices, meeting packets, meeting minutes, and contract/budget oversight).
- Supports new development initiatives in the Lone Tree City Center and assists with the potential establishment of the Lone Tree Downtown Development Authority.

- Recruits new retail and small business opportunities to the City, supports Lone Tree's small business community, and maintains the City’s business outreach database.
- Assists with legislative tracking and the City’s public affairs activities.
- Builds relationships and working partnerships with the City’s economic development partners, other City departments, and the Lone Tree business community.
- Researches, prepares, and presents periodic reports on issues, projects, and operational statistics for the Economic Development Director and the City Manager’s Office.
- Attends regular and special City Council sessions as required; participates in meetings and conferences with other City boards, commissions, committees, administrative offices, and staff.
- Serves as staff liaison to the City of Lone Tree’s Youth Commission.
- As a member of the City Manager’s Office is frequently assigned to develop, implement, and manage interdepartmental programs that have City-wide impact and implications.
- Promotes positive employer/employee relations at all levels in the organization.
