- $100 early commitment bonus to successful applicants who accept a Summer Day Camp offer by March 1, 2025
- $100 bonus to camp staff who work a minimum of eight (8) weeks out of the nine (9) weeks of the program

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Lead the Fun: Lead scheduled daily activities for up to 60 elementary aged campers, creating an engaging and inclusive environment where every camper has an opportunity to feel connected and has an unforgettable summer.
- Foster Connections: Build positive relationships with campers, families, and staff, becoming a trusted leader and role model.
- Dive In (Literally!): Join the fun by actively participating in games, crafts, swimming, field trips, and more.
- Keep It Safe & Sound: Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by maintaining facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Be the Team Anchor: Support fellow staff members with a collaborative, team-first attitude.
- Stay Organized: Manage schedules and supplies to keep camp running smoothly behind the scenes. Ensure camp is abiding by all Child Care Licensing and Health Department regulations.
- Problem-Solve with Confidence: Address and resolve camper concerns quickly to ensure everyone’s experience is positive.
- Be Prepared: Administer First Aid and medications.
- Set the Stage: Handle setup and takedown of camp equipment each day, ensuring a smooth transition for campers.
- Stay Reliable: Consistent attendance and engagement are key to success.

TIME REQUIREMENTS
- Seasonal Summer Job: Requires 9-40 hours/week, Monday through Thursday generally between the hours of 7:30am-5pm.
- Required Training: May 27-May 30
- Camp Runs June 2 – July 31, 2025; must commit to at least 8 of the 9 week.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum eighteen (18) years of age by first day of Summer Day Camp on June 2, 2025.
- Candidates must provide one (1) or more Verification Letter(s) documenting a minimum of four-hundred and fifty-five (455) hours of paid or volunteer work with four (4) or more youth in a group. Assistance is available if needed in securing verification, e-mail MandyP@LouisvilleCO.gov
Each Verification Letter must include the following:
- Ages of children worked or volunteered with
- Total number of hours worked directly with children
- Start and end dates of paid or volunteer work
- Duties performed
- Name, title, and contact information of person providing the Verification Letter
- Signature of the person providing the Verification Letter

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB: This role requires a wide range of physical activities, including walking, running, jumping, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs. (occasionally up to 50 lbs. with assistance), and supervising children in deep water. You’ll also need good vision & hearing (with or without correction), and the ability to speak clearly, including projecting your voice in noisy settings.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work takes place indoors and outdoors, with exposure to dirt, sand, and extreme weather, including high temperatures. Noise levels range from moderate to loud. Weekly school bus travel is required for field trips.
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt Seasonal, non-benefited position.
