QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or equivalent or any combination of education and experience that provides the following:
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Library organization and procedures;
- Variety of books and library materials.
- Charge and discharge materials, assess and collect fines/fees, and perform similar tasks related to the circulation function;
- Promote library services and public relations and to sort and shelve library materials;
- Use a computer, telephone, cash register, book carts, and sensitizing machine.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Push and pull object in order to shelve materials and push the book cart
- Frequently climb step ladders or stairs
- Frequently twist, bend, kneel and crouch in order to shelve books
- Continuously reach above, at and below shoulder height
