Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Performs minor duties such as monitoring park use by patrons, maintenance of park equipment and facilities and the opening and closing of several municipal parks. Walks and rides through 12 City Parks to monitor activity and maintain proper park decorum. Various duties will be assigned. Opens and closes restrooms and cleans and maintains park buildings.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT:
This position will require self-initiation, responsibility and willingness to learn. Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License. Must have ability to work effectively and pleasantly with coworkers and the public. Preference shall be given to students pursuing a degree in recreation and park management, police science or related field. Preference given to individuals with First Aid Certification.
