General Description
The City of Madison is looking to fill an aquatics head attendant position. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the daily operations of the Goodman Pool concessions and admissions. Under the supervision of the on-duty aquatics supervisor, the head attendant will lead a team of concessions and admissions attendants to facilitate successful operation of the related areas of the Goodman Pool. This position will input supply inventories on a daily basis, serve as the point of contact for customer service and provide direction to staff. The successful candidate will use considerable judgment and professionalism in their daily work.
Hours
During the Aquatics season, the Aquatics Head Attendant will work 40 hours per week.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily operations of the Goodman Pool Admissions and Concessions areas
- Monitor the work of concessions and admissions attendants and appropriately manage customer service issues
- Implement required cash handling and inventory control procedures
- Generate daily reports related to inventory
- Recommend programming changes
- Perform daily inspection of cleanliness of facilities and ensure that the facility meets required health department standards
- Direct admissions and concessions staff to perform cleaning tasks
- Oversee Goodman Pool admissions staff and evaluate admissions practices to ensure they meet the customer service standards of the Aquatics Program
- Assist with making Goodman Pool Membership Passes
- Enter scholarship information into our Recreation Programming Software
- Run errands to ensure adequate supply of inventory for Goodman Pool
- Perform related work as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) years of customer service experience with six (6) months in a leadership position requiring the evaluation of staff.

Special Requirements
Employee will be required to successfully obtain a State of Wisconsin Food Service Manager Certification by May 13, 2024.
