What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer/Fall Softball Umpire position at City of Manitowoc?
Under administrative supervision, this position is responsible for the planning, promotion, development and supervision, of a specialized activity of recreation as a community-wide program.
- Make decisions promptly, firmly, and fairly, basing them on the rules and not on partisan players and spectators.
- Be firm, courteous, positive, and dignified in your attitude towards players and coaches.
- Have full charge of and be responsible for proper conduct of the game.
- Report to the game 15 minutes before start.
- Report any problems with players, field, scorer, or other related items to the Recreation office in a timely manner.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Education: Knowledge of USSSA Softball Rules
Experience: None
Certifications/Licenses: None
Other Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age
Extensive knowledge of rules, ability to work independently, good decision making skills, and the ability to deal with the public diplomatically.Salary : $20 - $25
