The Position
The City of Maple Grove is seeking Concessionaires to help provide exceptional customer service to the patrons of the Community Center. In this position, you will be responsible for taking orders in a courteous manner, operating the POS, handling transactions, and preparing/serving food and beverages. Hours are within Monday - Thursday 5:30am - 6:30pm, Friday 5:30am - 8:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 6:30pm. Shifts range from 3 hours to 6 hours.
Summer:
Hours are within Monday - Thursday 5:30am - 9:30pm, Friday 5:30am - 9:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 9:30pm. Shifts range from 3 hours to 6 hours.
Responsibilities
- Responds to customer food and beverage requests in a cheerful, expedient, and efficient manner.
- Prepares food and beverages in accordance with local procedures and State health regulations.
- Maintains a clean and organized concession area.
- Monitors concession inventory and completes regular inventory counts as requested.
- Restocks inventory supply for concession area throughout the entire shift.
- Operates cash register according to proper procedures.
- Completes daily reports accurately.
- Provides minor custodial duties, including cleaning up spills, picking up trash, and mopping floors while working in the concession area.
- Cleans concession areas in accordance with proper procedures throughout the entire shift.
- Informs the supervisor on duty of customer concerns, equipment, maintenance, and repair requests.
- Performs other work as assigned by the Food Service Coordinator, Aquatic Supervisor, and other supervisory staff.
- Operate a cash register and complete accurate concession reports.
- Operate and clean all concession equipment.
- Lift/move inventory and supply items.
- Learn effective sales techniques.
- Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties.
Qualifications
Need to have:
- Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs.
- Customer Service experience.
- Cash Register fluency.
- Food Preparation experience.
- Fluency in a language other than English.
