The Position
The City of Maple Grove is seeking Facility/Site Supervisors! The Parks and Recreation facility/ site Supervisors are responsible for creating a safe and welcoming environment for visitors of the City of Maple Grove. They oversee planned programs and activities while delivering quality customer service in the areas of supervision and facility monitoring. Come join our growing and diverse community!
Hours are part-time, vary between Monday-Friday; evenings-Saturday-Sunday; days
and evenings
** Interviews are conducted as applications are received**
- Welcomes visitors to the facilities and answers questions or inquiries.
- Enforces established policies, order and discipline, and daily cleaning procedures.
- Responsible for the security, safety and emergency procedures such as opening/closing
- Facilities, handling Point of Sales (POS) operations, monitoring park regulations compliance, and severe weather conditions
- Responds to accidents and emergencies promptly according to the outlined procedures.
- Directs facility and site usage, set-up and tear downs for events adhering to scheduled start/end times in accordance with the issued permits for usage to the public.
- Assists in training other part-time staff.
- Completes written communications and reports timely and accurately.
- Preforms general cleaning and light maintenance.
- Communicates incidents and issues to direct supervisor.
- Work in outdoors in all weather conditions
Need to have:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Able to lift and move tables, chairs, and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
Nice to have:
- Basic computer and math skills
- Prior facility supervision and/or crowd control experience
- Experience with sports equipment and facility set-up and take down
- Prior supervisory experience
Salary : $17 - $21
